"Sausage" isn't Sexy - Part One - Identifying the Epidemic

Let's face it-the market for Fuller Figure Clothing Market has made a lot of strides but still has a long, long way to go. Especially in Bermuda where the choice of clothing items is limited. Although the local retailers are making a concerted effort, there still remains a great divide between our needs and clothing availability. I, for one, can relate to this problem as I love clothes, footwear, handbags and jewelry.

Like most women I love to look good! It's something about looking good that adds a spring to your step and a confidence in your stride. It makes you want to swing those hips as you walk and toss your head whether your hair is short or long!

But, wearing the proper clothing can make the difference between looking good and looking tragic. Not all clothing is meant for everybody or every body. (That applies to our slim counterparts as well.) Not every style is suitable for your body shape or height. Not every color is suitable for your skin's undertone. And sometimes your undergarments can play a big part in what you will look like in that special outfit.

And Ladies, not all  Large, 1X, 2X and 3X are true to size. I know that sometimes an item may be so irresistible or cute that we just have to have it. But is it really worth the risk of you becoming part of the island's "Sausage Alert?"

Tune in tomorrow for "Sausage isn't Sexy" -Part 2 - Smoothing Out the Bulge.
